Just a glimpse, as it flew by as fast as it came. Full of guests and sweets treats, gifts and good times. It has been a good year, and we're enjoying every last day of it. Until the New Year...

gift tags for you

            

I hope you are having the happiest of holidays! If you aren't done with all your wrapping and labeling, I've made some free downloadable tags for you to use if you'd like. I printed the one above and below on art paper, but any cardstock would do nicely. In the very top photo, you can see the art paper print on top of a print on regular thin printer paper. The pdf is below, with an added black and white version in case the kiddies (of all ages) want to color them to match your paper.  Merry Merry! xo

FINALLY! I've got the You Are Loved print in my etsy shop as well as some other prints too. Thanks so much for all the interest and encouragement...and patience. the art of craft at french general

Charlotte and I are teaching a class together at French General in January. It's part of Kaari's weekend celebrating crafting. Anyway, I love these hearts that could be  drawer sachets, pin cushions, couch pillows, gifts, anything. They are so fun to make with so many options...if you hate to sew, Kaari even has some pre-stitched velvet hearts at the shop that you could embellish instead, like I did with this one here:

 

Or, if you love to stitch, you could go a little crazy like I did with this one that I made for Kaari:

        
The back is a different style that you could choose to make instead, more crazy quilt. This was made with remnants of Kaari's French General fabric line:

     

 

Anything goes, from simple to elaborate when making these lovelies...and just in time for Valentine's Day too. When Charlotte and I were making our samples, I ran across these stunning beauties from WWI. So inspiring! 

I found this heart I made  long ago for my daughter when she was a baby. I hung it on her bedroom door for many years:

            

The close up photos are my favorite...

I could take the same photo over and over (as you see I have), because I love every little bit, flaws and all. This one was inspired by the World War I hearts made for loved ones. It was a gift for my husband (ok, myself) in celebration of our 20th anniversary. 

 Well, that's more than enough heart photos, you get the idea...I'll bring all these hearts to French General so you can see them in person. Hope you'll be joining us!
