Just like a ferris wheel: round and round and not getting anywhere. I was at the apple store recently (for 2 hours, fun fun- trying to get my time machine fixed- which they did), and couldn't resist taking a photo of the ferris wheel with my phone. Here's another view of the ferris wheel seen in the reflection of the super cute Anthropologie store window. Love the paper dress, and the flowers out of zippers are so pretty in person.
Thanks for all the great suggestions on the last post, I'm still mulling it all over. I'll show you the finished effort before sending it off. And also for all the sampler orders, they'll be in the mail today. For those that want them but missed this round, more are being printed now and I'll let you know here when I've added more on etsy.
One thing that goes round and round in my head are my thoughts for online classes. I've got a journal class in the works. I made my first beginning video this weekend. It's going to be awhile...lots to cover. Also worked in the messy garage this weekend, lots of purging to do as well. Feeling a need to get really organized (for the first time in my life?). Need to come up with a new way of operating.
My mind is cluttered lately (usually? always?)...as my journal pages demonstrate. Just so you know, I dislike these pages, but it's the process I love and I think it's good to show you pages that don't please me as well as those that do. Just keep journaling. Focus on the process, not the result, is my advice if you are not liking your pages. Maybe when I get other things organized, my pages will be less crazy, I'm betting my mind and my pages will both be more pleasing to me :).
Off to take a few more steps in the right direction...

Hello my creative friend,
What a pleasure to pop into your world and view the visual delights in this post, and the very good advice " Focus on the process, not the result, ... "
You are always a joy to my creative spirit !
Thank you for sharing,
Paulette

Cannot wait to see what becomes of your journal class...seeing some of your work in Somersets Art Journaling mag is what got me started art journaling in the first place.
Count me in for sure.

Oh, can't wait for a journaling class! I'm retiring to PA next week and by the time I get unpacked and organized I'll be ready for something to do.

I would love a class that would walk me through step by step creating one journal page. I look at your beautiful pages and I know that my pages wouldn't look like yours, but I know I could do it, but I just don't know where to start. And evidently I don't have enough order or quiet or whatever in my life to just sit down and give it a try. :-) But I think if I made one, I would keep rolling...

I know the feeling of cluttered. My studio feels cluttered and my mind feels scattered. Unfortunately, I haven't been journaling. Need to get back to it. Maybe spilling it all will help.
Love those pages. Don't go changing.

I love ALL of your journal pages!
Btw, I saw that you wanted to learn how to screen print. I just sold my Gocco and I want to learn to screen print in a more affordable way. This came my way yesterday: http://lilblueboo.blogspot.com/2010/01/screenprinting-techniques-using-contact.html
It looks like an interesting technique to experiment with :)

Hi,
I just found your blog by way of the Adventures of Blue Girl blog and you are scary creative! (That's a compliment). Your drawings are giving me so many ideas and I have to sleep so I can work tomorrow! I can't draw, but I do sew and embroider, etc. I have a fairly new and unprofessional blog if you care to visit. (Hope you like dogs) I added myself as one of your followers. Linda

Love seeing the ones that you don't think are great...makes me feel a little better...as mine don't always turn out great. BUT...I do like the pages. I hope you are using your new camera.

Pam, I just wanted to share that in SF there is a wonderful exhibit of paper dresses at the Legion of Honor. I can't wait to go and see them in person.

swooning at the thought of your online class, Pam... cannot wait to see what unravels...and the video you posted of the Michelle Ward house book...I took that class at Valley Ridge with her a few years back and need to dig out that book after watching your video... you inspired some great ideas to start a new one... so amazing....

I so enjoy when you post your journal pages ... such inspiration. And thanks for sharing the pages that don't please you ... that takes courage and it's encouraging to someone like me who sometimes finds that my pages just don't "feel" right ... PS - would totally sign up for an online class!!!!
