My friend Charlotte took one of my drawings and turned it into a screenprint for me over at Spoonflower. I love it; it was fun to draw, fun to see printed, and even more fun to stitch. Above I added some fabric scraps around the border, because I'm thinking of making a pillow out of it.
Then again, I think I might use it for a new BCSJQ. I'm preparing a class/behind the scenes look into the BCSJQ, as I get a lot of questions and interest into the construction of it.
But for now, I'm just enjoying looking at it. Here's another one to look at, finished by Syd's friend Colleen. Different colors and stitches and a different type of darling!
If you want to put your spin on it, you can purchase one over at my etsy shop. I've got another sampler in the works too, it a different idea and I'm exciting myself as I work on the illustration. (It really doesn't take much, now does it?) Anyway, I'm glad I have you all to share all my various craft exploits, as I really don't have many in my daily life who understand what I'm up to half the time. So thank you!
{Ed: Thanks everyone for your enthusiasm! This batch is sold out, but I've already got more on the way from Spoonflower. I'll let you know here when etsy has been restocked with them}
If you decide to make one too, will you please send us a link when you finish it? We'd love to see your take!
Have a happy day!!! xo

That's sweet. I like happy cheerful things.
I'm afraid if I tried to embroider it the result would not be so happy. I am still stuck on crocheting a kitten that looks like a bear.
It started off as a dog. Say no more.

Wow, how gorgeous! If I didn't have so many half finished projects I would order one, too. This is a great incentive for me to finish things and clean up my DIY/craft boxes to make space for new projects!!

I love the chunkiness (if that's a word) of your stitches. What brand of thread do your use?

I'm crazy for this! I've wanted to do something like this with one of my paintings for a long time! Is it just a one color print or is it a screenprint? Whatever it is, I love it! Anxious to hear more about the BCSJO! Ditto on the daily life bit.

Hello, I have a question..... just discovered Spoonflower and am thrilled at the discovery. Are you using them to print your designs for embroidering?
I have designed some map embroidery that I would like to market, but haven't figured out a good way to get the pattern onto fabric short of the end user tracing it onto their own fabric.
Thanking you in advance for your attention to my question.
PS: love you work!
