summer is over. It went too fast. I'm glad I will have the "big- crazy- summer -journal-quilt" to make it very memorable. I've recently added the word crazy to the title; I'll let you decide whether it is because it's kind of like a crazy quilt in design, or because I'm just plum crazy to take it on. Here it is today, in progress:
I'm still really enjoying the journey!!!

I really look forward to seeing your video. I love the way this has come together-a little bit here and there found pieces and pieces you have made. It's really quite wonderful!

It looks crazy and very cool. I'd be interested to know how you got the idea and if the vision of it (in your mind) is anything similar to what you will see in the end? Sometimes big projects change while we work on them, don't they? :-)

i'd call it a gorgeous "extreme" crazy quilt!

I love your progress! It's very inspiring, indeed. Like everyone else, I can't wait to see the finished piece! Also, you inspired me to start stitching again, so I ordered Rebecca R.'s sampler the other day. I hope mine turns out as adorable as yours. ;O)

This is amazing! I'm so impressed with your endeavor. Very inspiring . . . how big? I made Rebecca's sampler and was going to turn it into a pillow but now . . . . .

Pam,
Good Morning.
i think the summer quilt is a great idea. I have so many little doilies and hankerchiefs (hmmm, not sure that is spelled right) that I hate to give up or use but really in something like your quilt they are used and saved forever. I bet your daughter some day will want that as her own keepsake.
Smiles, Andra

this is really just lovely - are you preparing a video? I am loving fabrics and have zero sewing experience but quilts and this sort of sewing is so intriquing...is it easy?

OMGoodness! The quilt is absolutely gorgeous! Can you picture yourself all snuggly this winter with your favorite cup of hot lusciousness and a good book? Bravo, Pam, bravo!!

Truly lovely, and certainly a treasured heirloom with so many sweet memories woven in over the summer that will be cherished forever.
Am I seeing bits of it in your beautiful new banner ?

you are either nuts or a genius......actually, they go hand in hand, so you must be a bit of both.
I think the quilt is dynamite! What a way to celebrate the year 2010!

So amazing! I have always loved crazy quilts, and have one that my grandma made out of my grandpa's ties. She stitched a cobweb in one corner...What a treasure you have created, Pam!

This quilt is amazing...I can't wait to see it when you get it finished by thankgsiving. You have inspired me to get out my embroidery thread and have a go at it again...it's been a long time. I am embellishing a denim jacket for my granddaughter.
