While away last week, I worked on this stitching piece in progress. {it's about 16 inches high and 19" wide} Last time I blogged about it, it looked like this. I stitched a little on the plane, and a bit here and there over the days. The label, if you're curious, was ordered from namemaker.com. Here are some favorite spots today:

Stunning! Love it~

i do so love these stitches, they are so homey. i wanted to ask in your video of journals what type of books do you use to then turn into journals? are there specific types of books that you look for? ones w/ great covers, or with thicker pages so you can paint on them? any hints...thanks in advance - i visit daily.

I LOVE this- it's so creative! I just got in an embroidery mood- brought on by Pottery Barn's gorgeous pillows! I've checked books out, bought a new hoop and threads and I'm ready to go. But mine won't look as artsy and fun as yours'!

Love this. What a wonderful way to pull lots of memories together. I'm curious though. Will it be hung like a small quilt or made in to something or framed? What is the plan?
Thank you for sharing.

I have always been attracted to your palette, and the collage of these pieces will be gorgeous. Will you be tempted to fill it or have the negative space remain?
