I'm making myself a journal the way I used to, yearning to journal that way again; more masking tape and staples and rough backgrounds, on paper other than water color paper. With the expensive water color paper I only collage bits of the page because I feel it'd be wasting the paper to paper over too much of it. So there is a different feel to the end result. Once I have it made I'll show you what I mean. I'll try to find some old pages from those type of journals too, but for now I thought I'd share some of the spreads from my current journals (2 of the 3 I have going right now). All of these have been painted and collaged on, next they'll get writing and who knows what else. I'll show you them again when they've been played on some more.

AAAAWWWEEESSSSOOOMMMEEE!!!!!! These pages are beautiful beginnings!!! makes me itch to play with them too!!!

These are gorgeous. What type of journal do you use? I am still on my hunt for the perfect paper/journal. And I am so drawn to your journal ... and others that have so many layers, but mine aren't there yet. Can't seem to cover anything up ... or layer anything. Anyway, I saw your work in Art Journaling (winter 2009) and immediately signed up for your feed. Wonderful gorgeous work!

I've had on for a while and wasn't sure about getting it going ... now I NEED to get moving on it. Yippee - my pages are going to be decorated finally - can't wait. THANK YOU!!!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for sharing your journal pages with us. I am learning so much about how to create an art journal from your entries. I've kept a journal for most of my life and always longed to add my own beautiful elements to it but not being able to "draw" never found a way to do it. Imitating your lovely drawing style has finally started me on the this long sought-after dream. Thank you for your generosity of spirit!

oh Pam! When I grow up I want to journal just like you!! Smile.
I started off as an avid journaler; which led to scrapbooking; which has now led to art journaling..!!
You've been a great source of inspiration and I so look forward to seeing a new blog post from you!
Love love love the full page views of your journal pages.
Do you get the streaked look by using fluid acrylic paints (your backgrounds), with a combination of copic markers?? how did you get that look?
Have a beautiful day!

These are so wonderful. Thank you for sharing them with us. I agree with you about the expensive Fabriano paper. I keep wanting to save it for something special. Silly, huh?

Hi Pam! I took your Journaling clas at Art Fest 2007, and I adored it. As a matter of fact, I'm STILL working on that journal. Sometimes thinks just need to perk for awhile. I do some, put it away, work on others awhile... probably what you do. The one you taught in class was the watercolor pages. I'd love to know what other types you like to use, and what type you are working in now? I mentioned you on my blog a few posts back, and showed my journal, if you saw it, you'd remember me. ANYWAY, your class started me on an odyssey that has enriched my life. Thank you!
Hugs,
Sheila
