It's just so relaxing. Found a link to this site that offers free tutorials on stitches and lots of other information for hand embroidery. I watched three videos and found out all sorts of things that I've been doing wrong. I'm been a make-it-up-as-I-go-along-girl so far, but it inspired me to learn the true techniques. If you've been wanting to start, you'll find the info over there helpful and it'll keep you from having to re-learn your bad stitching habits :).
Have a great Memorial Day weekend!
Hi Pam;
As usual, you are such an inspiration, I am always so glad to see what you are doing and your willingness to share...Thank you!

I think it is all so beautiful. I was wondering if you knew that you can strip the floss into separate strands and have more delicate stitches on some things if you want? Basically you cut a strand of floss, hold it at one end (hanging vertically) and pull one strand out at a time with the other hand, pulling straight up. Then you put the strands back together, however many you want. Thread and go for it. Sorry if you already know this, it's just a FYI.

Wow, this is such a sweet piece Pam! Thanks so much for telling us about the website! I like to dive into projects and then I don't end up with the best techniques (yes impatient, but I can't wait to finish!). This website should be a great tutor for me. Time to pick up a needle again! Take care~ Christine

Hi Pam, love your stichery - I have been doing similar work with paper and fabric and now I have tons of these little scraps of stitchery and I am trying to figure out how I can use them all together. Just curious for idea - what are you doing with yours?
