As always, thanks for all the support in my endeavors. And speaking of which, many of you have sent me emails and comments telling me you enjoyed the article in the new Art Journaling magazine. It was so fun to be chosen for the cover of the very first issue!
The top photo is a journal page I was just coloring in. It has one of my favorite quotes on it:
Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. - Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe
I thought it quite appropriate for January and all the fresh starts. (Yes, that page on the right is the one from an earlier post)
Off to begin something. xop

hELLO! I've been a fan of yours forever! I was interested in what your fave paper of choice is when you use the Copic or Prisma Markers. Is it watercolor? Thx in advance for all your inspiration! <3 RosiePosie

I don't think they could have a chosen a better cover for their first issue. Your work on there was so inviting. (and inspiring!)

I just found the Art Journaling mag last night and have only had a minute to glance at, but can't wait to dig in depth. Loved all the pics of your work. As well, the top page pictured here...just a gorgeous grouping of colors! What kind of color markers do you use?

Please let me add my congrats also. I ran out and bought the magazine as soon as I saw your journaling on the cover. I am just amazed at your style and can't imagine actually doing that!! I would be so thrilled just to be a fly on the wall and watch you create those pages. Stunning! But then you are an Artist!

I love your journaling. The article was great and I like the idea of not having to journal chronologically. Just wondering if you ever thought of selling a page such as the one above w/ the quote as a print. Kind of like you did w/ the postcards w/ your collage/painting quotes. Have a great week!

pam,
i sent this post to you a few posts back, but thought i would try again...
i also love your journal pages and just bought the somerset journaling with you featured. do you make your journals with art paper etc? and what do you use for the outside. i have been trying to figure out how you bought a regular "journal" at borders or b&n and transformed it but i am thinking you take art paper and put it into some type of binder? i like peggy's idea..could you give us a video or a step by step process? thank you for sharing your gift. could you give us a step by step process on the blog? or make a video and sell it...rosie o'donnell on rosie.com has a "crafty u" video (just an idea). i am dying to know what type of paper, pens etc. you use. maybe you could post a "basic supply list" on your blog so we would have a point to start from.
finally HOW DO YOU DO ALL THE LETTERING? did you take classes for this or self-taught? i love it!

Oh your name on the cover of Art Journaling made me grab it off the shelf while I was at JoAnn'e buying beading needles....and what a GORGEOUS bunch of pages! (And yes, I too ran out yesterday seeking "COPIC" markers because surely THAT is what I need to make my pages as lovely as yours, right? hee) Oh yeah. Headed out today with my 50% off coupon see who has the best selection! (thank heavens for Michael's/AC Moore/Jo-anne Fabrics for their weekly flyers...) Thanks for sharing so generously with us!

I too loved your article in Art Journaling. Congratulations, you must be thrilled! It was incredible artwork and I appreciate (now that I'm having serious knee issues) your honest journaling about your back issues. How does one survive traumas like that? (Don't need to answer, more rhetorical.)Thank you for all the effort you put into your blog and art. I really love it. Have a wonderful day!
