paris to the moon
Oh my! I had to deliver my project to Kerri Judd, the talented artist that gave me the assignment I previously talked about, and she just happens to work at Paris to the Moon, a wonderful store in Costa Mesa. So I thought I'd take you on a little tour of the deliciousness that is Paris to the Moon. I mean, just look at these business cards! They're slightly larger than a standard business card, but are on a roll just like regular tickets. No detail is ignored here. Are you ready? Enjoy...
This gorgeous creation was made by the shop owner, Darren Calkins. It's up in the air and about 3 feet tall. Not only does Darren own this shop and handle all that that entails, he also does displays at other shops...when you see the rest of the photos, you'll see why he's in demand.
This dress form is clothed in Kerri's hand made gift tags...she designed those wonderful chocolate wrappers that Anthropologie used a few years ago. She's also got many other projects in the works...even a couple of books...can't wait for those!
They also carry original works by wonderful artists like Anna Corba, Ashley Carter and Jill Schwartz (seen above) as well as many others.
Ah...Paris to the Moon, always a visual feast. If you live too far away, they do ship, but you should really try to get in to see the wonder yourself.

Oh my oh my so much eye candy just lovely! :D I love the old dress form (tailor's dummy) covered in tags, seeing I've just got one of a good friend which has made my heart jump and I'm now thinking about how to embellish it and I also adore the snowman boxes, I've never seen something like this here in Germany. You did it again, you inspired me so much! Thank you for sharing these photos with us Pam! Happy holidays to you and your family! Carol xox

I LOVE shops like this!! So much creativity! Sadly, it seems like shops like this are disappearing and the nasty "Big Box" stores are taking over. Well, not if I can help it....I'm going shopping!! :) Thanks for the pics!

This is one of my favorite OC stores! I never miss a chance to stop in when I'm in the area. And always leave with a full imagination and an empty wallet!

Would you find out where she got these business cards? I'd call the number, but I'm worried others might too...and that would be annoying! Thanks for sharing all of this loveliness with us!

What a great idea for a dress form. Mine has a plaster top and a fabric covered bottom: I painted the top gold but never knew what to do with that bottom half! Now I am thinking that a skirt of tags would be just the thing.
Thanks for sharing these photos.

WooHoo! I Love the chinease parasol's with the lanterns and trees all together. That's a delightful tour. Thanks so much! Working on my banner too. My flourettes are not nearly as pretty as yours. I need some practice!

OK, now I am literally dumb-founded, mouth-watering- stunned! How can one shop have EVERYTHING I want! Pam, thanks for the lush photos! I just wish I lived with a few hours drive-it would be worth the pilgramage to the store!
Alas, I have yet to find something similar here in North Central Massachusetts.
Time to put on my creativity hat(I'll have to make one) and get to work. I'm so inspired!
Thank you !

Thank you Pam for all the good info on Wendy Addison's place Theatre of the Dreams! Shari B and I made a trip there yesterday and had a fabulous time! She turned on her theatres for us because we told her that you sent us!
We also went to Castle in the Air & Tail of the Yak... a dream-come-true kind of day!
